Jeannette Ruth “Jan” Hensel, age 66 of Ripley, Ohio, died Thursday, April 18, 2013 at the Hospice Care Center at Kenton Pointe in Maysville, Kentucky. She was a home healthcare aide for many years. Mrs. Hensel was born July 14, 1946 in Walters, Oklahoma the daughter of Maxine (Dempsey) Woolf of Duncan, Oklahoma and the late William Alton Woolf.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Hensel is survived by her loving husband of thirty six years, Louis “Bud” Hensel; six children – Johnnie Burson of Newark, Ohio, Leslie “J.R.” Burson of New Richmond, Ohio, Jimmy Burson of Amelia, Ohio, Dorothy Bare of Aberdeen, Ohio, Buddy Hensel of Ripley, Ohio and Samantha Hancock of Williamsburg, Ohio; nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren; three sisters – Sue Chisum of Oklahoma, Pamela Jackson of Texas and Maquita Wilkson of Oklahoma; two brothers – Leon Woolf and Alton Woolf, both of Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Monday, April 22, 2013 at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. on Monday at the funeral home. Interment will follow the funeral service in Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley. A celebration of her life will follow the funeral services at the Courts-Fussnecker American Legion Post #367 in Ripley.

Edwin M. Dyer, age 94 of Georgetown, Ohio died Thursday, April 18, 2013 at his residence. He spent most of his life farming, managing a dairy herd, working with wood and being involved in politics. Edwin was a Brown County Commissioner from 1972-1983, a former Scott Township Trustee, member of the Brown County GOP and former member and master of Grange. He was a faithful member of the Georgetown United Methodist Church, served on the Brown County Fair Board, was a 4-H advisor for many years and a member of the OVAM. Mr. Dyer was honored to be a citizen of Brown County and during his years as commissioner, he was proud of his accomplishment of restoring the historic Brown County Court House after the fire. He was born September 16, 1918 in Huntington Township, Brown County, Ohio the son of the late Frank Dearing and Faye (Adamson) Dyer. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Hazel (Newman) Dyer in 1991; one sister – Olive Gillies, three brothers – Freddie Dyer, Joe Dyer and Harlin Dyer; one son-in-law – Freddie Faul; one granddaughter-in-law – Jean Dyer; one niece – Kathy Dyer; five sisters-in-law and six brothers-in-law.
Mr. Dyer is survived by four children – Diana Faul of Sardinia, Ohio, Bob Dyer and wife Cris, Doug Dyer and wife Dale and Greg Dyer and wife Deanna all of Georgetown, Ohio; seven grandchildren – Robert Dyer, Richard Dyer and wife Pearl, Deering Dyer, Deena Ryan and husband Peter, Dwight Dyer and wife Natsuko, David Dyer and wife Chrissy and Sarah Kress and husband Mike; eleven great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and loving friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, April 22, 2013 at the Georgetown United Methodist Church in Georgetown, Ohio. Rev. Zedda Myers and Deering Dyer will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 - 4:00 P.M. Sunday, April 21, 2013 at the church. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio. The Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio is serving the family.

|Carolyn Prine, 80 years of Seaman, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Heartland of Hillsboro.
She was born in Adams County, Ohio on September 23, 1932 the daughter of the late Wilbur and Mary (Short) Shelton.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Prine, who passed away on May 14, 1996.
She attended Seaman Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by one daughter; Patricia Smith of Seaman, one brother and sister-in-law; Richard and Wanda Shelton of Seaman, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Lewis-Sullivan Chapel in Seaman with Michael Parks officiating. Burial will follow in Cherry Fork Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Lewis-Sullivan Chapel in Seaman.

|June Forman, 82 years of Peebles, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013 at the Ellenton Hospice House in Palmeto, Fl.
She was born in Adams County, Ohio on May 29, 1930 the daughter of the late Oscar and Ruth (McNeilan) Fields. Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Hendrick Forman, Jr. on June 15, 2003, one son, James Forman, aunts, Mildred Shriver, Ruth Fields, Clara Lehman, Flora Hunt, Alice Blackburn and Mae Shupert, uncles, Richard, Leslie and Delphos McNeilan.
She had been Office Manager for Plum Run Stone Division.
She is survived by one son, Charles Forman of Peebles; two daughters and sons in Law, Debbie and Dave Baker of Bradenton, Fl, Brenda and Don Hughes of Lafayette, GA, three Sisters, Catherine Plummer of Peebles, Betty Leach of Winchester and Florence Blackburn of Lebanon, eleven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at the Peebles United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery.

|Donald N. Kirker age 74 years of West Union, Ohio died Friday April 19, 2013 at the Adams County Manor. Mr. Kirker was born May 25, 1938 the son of the late Archie I. and Ethel Dean (McDaniel) Kirker in West Union, Ohio. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by step-father Charlie Kimmerly and a daughter Veronica Kirker.
Mr. Kirker was a member of the Adams County Senior Citizens, West Union Lions Club, West Union Masonic Lodge #43, Eastern Starr #246, The Laurel Grange, West Union Fire Department, West Union Life Squad, former Mayor of West Union, Ohio, West Union Village Council and Board of Public Affairs and a graduate of West Union High School Class of 1956.
Survivors include his wife; Judith Kirker of West Union, Ohio; three daughters; Melissa Baldwin and husband Randy of Manchester, Ohio; Dawna Hendrickson and husband Steve of Seaman, Ohio; Audrey Jo Prell and husband Lee of Longmont, Colorado; one son; Bryon Kirker and wife Becky of West Union, Ohio; two brothers; Tom Kirker of Xenia, Ohio; Archie Earl Kirker of Las Vegas, Nevada; seven grandchildren; Amy Jo Winn, Neil Winn, Casey Baldwin, Veronica Hopkins, Desma Krchmar, Donnie Kirker and Dean Kirker; one great grandchild; Jaxon Krchmar.

District and a member of the Arnheim Peace Lutheran Church and American Legion Auxiliary.
Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Elmer, and 4 sons; Donald, David (Perk), Roy & Paul Gelter.

He was born August 25, 1954 in Covington, Kentucky, the son of the late Lowell Banfield Sr and Dorothy (Miller) Banfield. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Anderson Hills.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 son, Bobby Banfield and 1 sister, Donna Marie Reynolds.

She was born in Ripley, OH on April 30, 1924 the daughter of the late Albert and Ruby (Milligan) Gray. She retired as a sales clerk for Sears. She was also a member of the Liberty Chapel Church of Christ.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Phill, son; Jerry Allen Mathews, daughter; Carol Mathews, and 3 brothers; Chester, Vern and Lee Gray.
She is survived by 3 sisters in laws; Eleanor Gray of Decatur, Thelma Gray of Macon and Kathryn Gray of Norwood, 1 grandson; Justin Mathews of Goshen, 1 step grandson; Bobby Mathews and wife Vickie of Goshen, 2 great grandchildren; Tristen and Brooklyn Mathews and several nieces and nephews.
