Tyler Whalen, 18 years of Seaman, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Adams County Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on May 6, 1993.
Tyler graduated from North Adams High School in 2011.
He is survived by his mother Danielle (Boyd) Whalen of Seaman, father Tim Whalen of Fort Thomas, Kentucky, one brother; Luke Whalen of Seaman, one sister; Tiffany Whalen of Seaman, paternal grandmother; Joyce Whalen of Seaman, seven aunts; Teri Crawford of Seaman, Tammy Pinto of Seaman, Trina Sparks of Seaman, Teresa Reid of West Union, Pat Jones of Columbus, Betty McCall of Amelia, and Vickey Boyd of Mt. Orab, four uncles; Bob, George, Victor, and Carl Boyd all of Mt. Orab, and several great aunts, great uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Lewis-Sullivan Chapel in Seaman. Burial will follow in Mt. Leigh Cemetery.

FrankE T. "Ted" Dunn 53 years of Peebles, died Monday, January 30, 2012 at the Drake Center in Cincinnati.
He was born at Hillsboro on November 7, 1958 the son of Kelly Dunn of South Salem and Mary (Gragg) Williams of Hillsboro. He was preceded in death by one brother Rick Dunn, one sister Kelly Lynn Dunn Isaacs.
He had worked 25 years for Baker Construction Company and Messer Corporation. He was an Army Veteran.
Beside his parents he is survived by his wife Judy (Jett) Dunn of Franklin, OH., one son and daughter in law, FrankE T. "Teddy" and Rhonda Dunn Jr. of Peebles, two daughters and son in law, Christina Porter of Peebles, Stacy and Jamey Arrasmith of Peebles, six grandchildren, Jaiden and Tyler Porter, Zach, Braden and Aidan Arrasmith, Abbi Dunn, three brothers and sisters in law, Mike and Sherri Dunn of Hillsboro, Robert and Page Stratton of Peebles, Sam Williams of Hillsboro, two sisters and brothers in law, Amy and Joe Fantetti of Leesburg, Cheryl and Steve Blackburn of New Vienna,

Alan Rudin, 78 years of Seaman, passed away Monday, January 30, 2012 at his residence.
He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on May 14, 1933 the son of the late John and Leilia Rudin.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Joan Rudin, who passed away on June 20, 2002.
Alan attended Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints in Winchester.
He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Karl and Dora Rudin of Phoenix City, Alabama and Mark and Brandy Rudin of Winchester, one sister, Diane Graham of Cincinnati, three grandchildren, Alan, Nez, and Brittany, and two great grandchildren, Dixie and Melissa.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 3, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Bradford-Sullivan Chapel in Winchester with Rev. Dan Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Montgomery, Ohio.

Ruby Jean McGlothin, 68, of Manchester, OH died Thursday, January 26, 2012 at the Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley Inpatient Center. She was born in Franklin Furnace, OH October 21, 1943 to the late Simon and Lissie Stapleton Carver.
She was a former employee of the Crystal Tissue Factory.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lovell McGlothin.
She is survived by 1 son: Raymond (Donna) Ball of Flatwood, KY, 2 step sons: Ben McGlothin of Aberdeen, OH and Tim McGlothin of Middletown, OH, 5 step daughters: Juanita McGlothin, Shirley Crowder, and Joyce McGlothin all of Manchester, Garnett Seals of Brown County, OH and Janet Jackson of Stapleton, GA, 1 sister: Jane Berry of Lucasville, OH and numerous grandchildren.

Ralph L. “Pee Wee” Sullivan, age 71 of Georgetown, Ohio passed away Monday, January 30, 2012 with his loving wife of 47 years by his side at the Villa Georgetown Nursing and Rehabilitation Home in Georgetown, Ohio. He was retired from General Motors, a member of the Ohio Valley Antique Machinery Show and a United States Army veteran serving from 1958 – 1965 in Fort Knox, Kentucky. Ralph was born October 1, 1940 in Brown County, Ohio the son of Marie (Roquet) Sullivan of Georgetown, Ohio and the late Cecil Sullivan.
Mr. Sullivan is survived by his wife of 47 years – Bonnie (Reid) Sullivan whom he married May 23, 1964; one son – Tim Sullivan and wife Connie of Georgetown, Ohio; one daughter – Tammy Kidwell of Georgetown, Ohio; one grandson – Pvt. Daniel Sullivan of Fort Benning, Georgia and three granddaughters – Meranda Sullivan and Courtney and Kasey Kidwell all of Georgetown, Ohio.

Jennifer Mae Ernst, age 39 of Georgetown, Ohio died Saturday, January 28, 2012 at her residence. She worked for the Kroger Fuel Center where she became very fond of her customers. Having no children of her own, Jennifer enjoyed her nieces and nephews. They brought her great joy and her happiest times where spending time with them. Jennifer was born July 24, 1972 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin the daughter of Ralph L. Ernst of Georgetown, Ohio and the late Evelyn Mae (Wagoner) Ernst.

She was born August 29, 1938 in Russellville, Ohio the daughter of Cairl and Bessie (Blair) White.
Mattie faithfully attended the Church of God in Urbana. She loved the Lord and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, George, her daughter, Rhonda L. Butanis of West Chester, her son, David A. Rose of St. Paris, grandchildren, Victoria Rose, Josiah David, Sasha Noelle, Addison Marie and Andrie Miquelle; her sister, Vivian Lacy of West Union, her brother, William White, her sister-in-laws, Cleo White of Wilmington, Ila Beichler of Beavercreek and Sylsie Reeves of Corbin, KY , her brother-in-law, Olan (Rosa Lee) Rose of Middletown; several nieces, nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Cairl White Jr. and a sister, Betty Ferguson.

Edna Belle Lehmann, age 100 of Hamersville, Ohio died Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at the Brown County General Hospital in Georgetown, Ohio. She was a homemaker. Edna was born February 15, 1911 in Batesville, Indiana the daughter of the late Henry Clay and Loris Lee (Cox) Worthington. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband – William Lehmann, two sons – Nicholas Clay Kunkel and Karl Kunkel and several brothers and sisters.

She was born in Canelton, West Virginia on January 21, 1922 the daughter of the late Kelly and Essie (Walters) Hamilton.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Delbert Armstrong, who passed away in 1991, second husband, Howard Kitelinger, one brother; Olin Hamilton, and two sisters; Brittie Antle and Lora Smith.
Nova attended Bethlehem Church of Christ.

Florence J. Berry, age 103 of Cincinnati, Ohio formerly of Brown County, Ohio died Monday, January 23, 2012 at the Clovernook Health Care Pavilion in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was a retired school teacher for Sardinia Elementary School in Sardinia, Ohio and a member of the Peace Lutheran Church in Arnheim, Ohio. After graduating from Logan High School in Hocking County, Ohio she attended Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. She began her teaching career in 1928 in a one-room school house in Hocking County while continuing her education at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. On August 5, 1936 she married Lewis Henry Berry of Ashridge, Ohio where they resided. After having one daughter, Donna Mae Wernz, she returned to teaching and taught over 20 years at the Sardinia Elementary School where she retired in 1975. Mrs. Berry continued teaching Sunday school for many years at the Peace Lutheran Church. Although retired from those duties, she maintained her membership at the church.
Mrs. Berry was born December 16, 1908 in Hocking County, Ohio the daughter of the late Henry and Phoebe (Gruner) Ellinger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Henry Berry in 1968 and three brothers, Ralph, Lloyd and Floyd Ellinger.
Mrs. Berry is survived by one daughter and son-in-law – Donna Mae and Stanley Wernz of Cincinnati, Ohio and nine nieces and nephews – Kenneth Ellinger, Bea Sigler, Barbara Beery, Wright Ellinger, Carol Porter, Freda Rutter, Beverly Menrath, Larry Ellinger and Marsha James.

Philip S Dunn age 76 of Russellville, Ohio passed away Tuesday January 24, 2012 at the Ohio Valley Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ripley, OH. He was born March 16, 1935 in Russellville, OH, the son of the late J.P. Dunn and Myrtle (Stewart) Dunn. He was a former Mayor of Russellville, former Police Chief of Russellville, a Russellville Life Squad Member and enjoyed a career in sales. He was also a life long member of the Russellville Presbyterian Church.
Besides his parents, Philip was preceded in death by his wife Ethel Pearl and his brother John Dunn.

Mrs. Sininger was the former owner of the West Union Flower Shop and a member of the Twilight Bingo Club and West Union Womens Club.
Survivors include two daughters; Sue Brodt and husband John D. of Waverly, Ohio; Tanya Johnson of West Union, Ohio; three grandchildren; Beth Brodt Clark and husband Chris; Jill Busbey and husband Justin; Emily Davis and husband Anthony; and one great granddaughter; Quinn Clark.
Visitation will be held Friday January 27, 2012 from 5 to 8 P.M at the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home in West Union, Ohio. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with entombment to follow at the West Union Village Cemetery.

Joyce Bivens Ayers age 55 years of West Union, Ohio died Sunday January 22, 2012 at the Adams County Regional Medical Center. She was born May 13, 1956 in Maysville Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents Forrest and Lena Bevins of Orangeburg, Kentucky; her sister Armilda Schuster of Covington, Kentucky and step son; Denver "Dink" Ayers Jr. of West Union, Ohio.
Ms. Ayers worked at Mathews Four Seasons in Piketon, Ohio as a warehouse assistant.
She is survived by her husband Walter Adams of West Union, Ohio ; one daughter; Shannon Cropper and husband Bill of Springfield, Kentucky; one granddaughter; Destiny Maelynn Cropper of Springfield, Kentucky; step daughter; Dawn Ayers of Mt Orab, Ohio; Kristina Gilpin and husband Terry of Cherry Fork, Ohio; step grandchildren; Chasity, Brandon and Miranda Johnson;mother Melba Truesdale of Maysville, Kentucky; Six sisters; Barb Cooper and husband Gary of Covington, Kentucky; Genny Howard and husband Dan of West Union, Ohio; Sheri Hollar of Maysville, Kentucky; Wendy Cox of Maysville, Kentucky; Kim Doyle and husband Joey of Maysville, Kentucky; Teresa Upshaw of Indianapolis, Indiana; three brothers; Gene Bivens and wife Jewell of Walton, Kentucky; Wayne Bivens and wife Janet of Atlanta, Georgia; Bill Bivens and wife Linda of Falmouth, Kentucky.

Harold Denver Tomlin, 77, of Manchester, OH died Sunday, January 22, 2012 at the Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. He was born on June 7, 1934 in Adams County, OH to the late Virgil and Etta Wilson Tomlin.
He was a former Baker and Farmer.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Gloria R Tomlin who died July 10, 2007 and a brother, Robert Tomlin.
He is survived by 3 daughters: Debbie (David) Traylor, Etta (Rodney) Sparks, and Ann (Bob) Blake all of West Union, OH, 2 sisters: Shirley Scott and Naomi Clayton both of Manchester, OH, 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Pauline Kent age 94 years of Emsworth in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; formerly of West Union, Ohio died Tuesday January 17, 2012.
Mrs. Kent was born July 14, 1917 the daughter of the late Thomas Owens Pence and Leota Shipley in West Union, Ohio. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Harold E. Kent; her brother Roy Pence and wife Beulah; brother Thomas O. Pence and a sister Grace Plummer and husband Richard; a nephew; Gerry Pence and a grandson; Thomas Roy Fincke.
Mrs. Kent worked for the Kroger company and retired to take care of her late husband Harold with failing health.
Survivors include her twin daughters; Ruth Taylor and husband Larry of Geneva, Ohio; Alma Fincke and husband Edward of Emsworth, Pittsburgh; sister in law Ruth Pence of West Union, Ohio; ten grandchildren; Sharon Joles and Keith of Glaridon, Ohio; Jennifer Basista and Mike of Wickliffe, Ohio; Mike Fincke and Renita of Houston, Texas; Amy Fincke and Leann of Maplegrove, MN; John Fincke and Beth of Phoenixville; Glenn and Jodie of McDonald; Jason and Melissa of Arlington, Virginia; Mary Beth Fincke of Jamaica Plain, MA; Russell and Daphne of Taipei, Taiwan and Francis Fincke of Agora Hills, CA and eight great grandchildren.

Anne Thomas, 86 years of Peebles, passed away Friday, January 20, 2012 at Adams County Manor.
She was born in Peebles, Ohio on March 11, 1925 the daughter of the late Carey and Faye (Caplinger) Tolle, Sr.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Thomas.
Anne attended Evergreen Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, David and Mariam Thomas of Mesa, Arizona, three daughters and sons-in-law, Danna and Gerald Holbrook of West Union, Holly and Danny Stringer of Goshen, and Michelle and Wayne Norman of Hamptonville, North Carolina, one brother, Carey Tolle, Jr. of West Union, 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at Evergreen Baptist Church with Travis Smalley officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

Mabel Smalley, 72 years of Peebles, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley Inpatient Center.
She was born in Hillsboro, Ohio on May 14, 1939 the daughter of the late William and Nora (Wisecup) Gustin.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one grandchild.
Mabel attended Louisville Community Church; she was a tax professional for H.R. Block, a member of the Louisville Grange, Peebles Garden Club, Peebles Shakespeare Club, and Peebles Alumni.
She is survived by her husband; Major Retired Donald Smalley of Peebles, whom she married on June 2, 1957, one son and daughter-in-law; Daniel and Kara Smalley of Illinois, three daughters and sons-in-law; Donna and Steve Raschke of Virginia, Edie Schwamberger of Peebles, and Kim and Bill Harlow of Japan, one sisters; Juanita Gustin of Peebles, nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Michael Wiseman officiating. Burial will follow in Louisville Cemetery.

Janet Louise (Harn) Watters, 73, of West Union, Ohio, formerly of Fairborn and Dayton. She died Saturday, January 14, 2012, at The University Hospital in Cincinnati. She was born May 12, 1938, in Dayton. She was preceded in death by parents, James Elbert and Mary Elizabeth (Nelson) Harn.
Janet is survived by one daughter, Sherri and Randy Edington of West Union; two sons, Shawn and Maite Watters of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Shannon and Judy Watters of Fairborn; former husband, James “Tex” Watters of Scioto County; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and two nieces and two nephews.
She was a former title clerk with Jack Huelsman Chevrolet; Steve Tatone Buick; and the former Langs Chevrolet, all in Fairborn.
She was a former member of the American Bowling Congress, and a 1956 graduate of the John H. Patterson Co-op High School in Dayton.

The memorial service will be Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 5 p.m. at Turkey Creek Free Will Baptist Church, 8608 State Route 125, Friendship, Ohio, 45630.

She was born November 12, 1948, in Maysville, KY the daughter of Winona (Hamm) Tudor and the late Kenneth Newman Boyd. She was a caregiver-aid and member of the Trinity Christian Fellowship.
Surviving her is her mother Winona Tudor of Russellville, 3 sons; Aaron Gay, Erik Gay and Tom Tumbleson all of Mt. Orab, 2 brothers; Kenneth Boyd of Plain City, OH and Rob Brownlee of Amelia, 1 sister; Ronna Boyd Tolle of Cincinnati, 5 grandchildren; Julia Gay, Anthony Gay, Madison Gay, Katlyn Tumbleson, and Abby Gay.

Evelyn J. Seithers age 79 years of West Union, Ohio died Monday January 16, 2012 at the Eagle Creek Nursing Center in West Union, Ohio. Mrs. Seithers was born March 29, 1932 the daughter of the late Willard Cort and Lettie Adeline (Cooper) James in Fleming County, Kentucky. Mrs. Seithers was also preceded in death by her husband Charles Seithers and three brothers John William James, Eston James, and Willard James Jr.
Mrs. Seithers was a homemaker and served many years on the Election Board.
Survivors include one daughter Monica Joy Jackson and husband Dennis of Winchester, Ohio; two sons Stephen Wayne Seithers and wife Martha of Lexington, Kentucky; Daniel Mark Seithers and wife Beverly on Minerva, Kentucky; two sisters Leana Marie Schwartz of Flemingsburg, Kentucky; Frieda Joyce Willeroy of Hillsboro, Kentucky; three grandchildren Jason Dennis Jackson, Laura Caroline Seithers, Stephanie Diane Seithers; and three great-grandchildren Reed Allen, Melinda Joy Jackson, Caroline Elizabeth Robinson; and many nieces and nephews.

Gregory Allen Grooms, 42 years of Peebles, Ohio died Saturday, January 14, 2012 at the Cabell hospital In Huntington, West Virginia.
He was born at Chillicothe on November 20, 1969 the son of the late Paul Grooms and Delores A. (Tolle) Grooms of Peebles.
Beside his mother he is survived by his companion; Rebecca Brown, step son; Steven Brown at home, step daughter; Nicole Brown of Frankfort, three grandchildren; McKenzie Bowman, Anthony Bowman, Levi Brown and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.
