LIVE! Dirt Track Racing From Moler Raceway Park, Brown County Speedway and Portsmouth Raceway Park
Shawnee State Night At PRP
PORTSMOUTH, Ohio – In a battle of Wheelersburg drivers, R.J. Conley came out on top
Saturday, Sept. 19, at Portsmouth Raceway Park.
The first three drivers to start the late model feature, Conley, Josh Bocook and Nick
Bocook, were all from Wheelersburg.
Conley and Nick Bocook swapped the lead back-and-forth in the opening laps until
Conley took charge on lap five.
Nick Bocook stayed in contact with Conley, but was unable to catch up. Quick qualifier
Rick Combs was third.
Point leader Jackie Boggs of Grayson, Ky., was at the track, but was unable to drive as
he recovers from six broken vertebras and a shoulder injury suffered in a crash during
the Lucas Oil race at PRP two weeks earlier.
For the second straight race, a Grayson driver flipped. Terry Hicks ended up on his top
on lap one..
Points runner-up Kenny Christy had mechanical problems and did not make the
feature.
Adam Jordan led all 20 laps in winning the modified feature.
However, the action was in the pack as point-leader Doug Adkins an Greg Anderson
stormed through the field.
Adkins started 11th and was on Jordan’s back bumper when the race restarted after 17
laps.
Anderson would have started in the top three, but was disqualified after failing to meet
the weight limit after winning his heat.
Anderson came back to win the B-Main after starting at the rear. Starting 16th in the
feature, Anderson raced up to third place.
With one race left, defending champion John Melvin and Evyian Terry are tied for the
points lead in the limited late model division.
Terry won Saturday with Melvin second.
Jeremie Bretz won the bomber feature, but must have felt all the other drivers were
against him.
Bretz passed leader Justin Jaynes twice and was in the process of passing him two other
times when the yellow flag flew.
Each time the race went back to the last completed lap, which put Jaynes back in front.
Bretz finally edged ahead by about three feet as they completed lap nine. He was finally
able to pull in front and went on to add to his points lead.

Fan Appreciation Night At PRP
PORTSMOUTH, Ohio – Josh McGuire started on the pole for the late model feature Saturday, Aug. 22, before a large
Fan Appreciation Night crowd at Portsmouth Raceway Park and no one could touch him.
His car was almost the only car that was not touched as the other cars bounced off one another in an accident-
filled 25 laps. Only 11 of the 20 starters finished the race.
The biggest crash was a six-car pile up midway through, which included points leader Kenny Christy. While Christy
came back to finish fifth, he lost the points lead to Jackie Boggs, who finished second, by 10 points.
McGuire was never seriously threatened. He led by 200 yards or more for most of the night. Boggs settled into
second on lap 13 and like McGuire stayed out of trouble, Greg Oliver claimed third with Chris Wilson fourth.
The modified feature was a repeat of the late model race. Only seven cars were running at the end.
Doug Adkins returned to Victory Lane. Tony DeHart was second and Michael Poe posted his best PRP finish of the
season in third.
The limited late model feature was a battle between Evyian Terry and John Melvin. While Melvin has dominated wins
in the class, Saturday belonged to Terry.
Starting side-by-side, Terry grabbed the lead and never let go.
Jeremie Bretz won his sixth bomber feature of the season. He turned back an early challenge by Justin Jaynes. Joe
McGinnis moved up to challenge on lap four and stayed on Bretz’s bomber the rest of the way, but could not get
around Bretz.
There will be no racing at PRP this weekend. The action resumes Sept. 5 when the Lucas Oil Series visits for the
River Series Rumble with $10,000 going to the winner.

Another night of exciting racing at Moler Raceway Park!

By: Kyle Wainscott

Williamsburg, OH - Another great night of racing action at Moler Raceway Park incluuded the regular divisions of racing plus the return of the AMSA 1200 CC Mini-Sprints.  In Late Model action it was Marty Huntley, Robby Hensley, and Jason Jamison taking heat race wins. After the redraw it was Huntley and Hensley on the front row for the 25 lap Sunesis Construction feature event (22 cars). At the drop of the green it was Barry Doss jumping to the top spot from his 3rd starting spot but the battle was behind him as Larry Pickelheimer Jr., rocketed out to the top spot on lap 10 with Jason Jamison riding the high side coming with him. By lap 13 it was Jamison taking over the lead and setting sail out front. Pickelheimer would get involved in a lap 20 tangle with a lapped car that would end his night. At the finish it was Lawrenceburg, Indiana’s Jason Jamison taking the win with Barry Doss coming home in second position and Arnie Fields in third spot. John Sizemore charged from 12th starting position to come home fourth as he nipped Wayne Chinn fifth, at the finish line.

In the Cheapbowlingballs Modifieds it was Dave McWilliams looking to win his fourth consecutive feature in a row but his night would not be an easy one. In heat race action it was Doug Adkins, Michael Poe, and Joe Brewer winning heat races. In the feature it was Brewer and Poe bringing the cars to the green flag but Adkins would take the three-wide in turn two on lap one to dart out to the top spot. There was great racing throughout the pack as McWilliams charged to the front from his fifth starting position to challenge Adkins for the lead. Just behind them the racing was intense as Brewer and eleventh starting Ray Branscum would wage a great battle. While trading the top spot a couple of times McWilliams was not able to take the lead until lap 16 of the 20-lap event. Adkins would try again on the last lap to no avail as he slipped to fourth at the finish. Winning his 4th feature of the season was McWilliams with Branscum taking home second followed by Brewer, Adkins, and Doug Popp in the top five positions.

In the Holman Motors Chevette division it was Derrick Davis, Jeff Watson, and Branden Elam winning heat races with Scott Ramp taking the B-main event. In the feature it was all Branden Elam as he led all fifteen laps in taking his third win of the season in his Eastside Industrial Truck Service, Weiss Racing Engines sponsored machine. Coming home second was Luke Holman with Derrick Davis, Miles Tarvin, and Paul Luers rounding out the top five.

The US Race Gear Street Stocks would take to the race track with their two heat races and it was Mark Kaetzel and Craig Naylor winning heats to set the line-up for the feature.  Kaetzel was not to be denied his first win at MRP as he led all 15 laps despite heavy pressure from Jon Baker throughout the race. In the end it was Kaetzel in his B&M Wrecker, Cropper Racing Engines, Morris Mowing and lawn care sponsored machine taking the win. Jon Baker came home second with Craig Naylor, Jeremie Bretz, and Paul Baker rounding out the top five.

Also on tap at MRP was the AMSA 1200 cc mini-sprints. They started the evening with a make-up feature from back in April and it was Sam Ashworth taking home the 15-lap make-up event. In the nights regular scheduled event it was Middletown Ohio’s Rod Henning jumping to the lead on the first lap from his fifth starting position and leading all twenty laps en route to the A-main win. Drew Pollack held on for second with Sam Ashworth and Beau Stewart trading the third positions back and forth throughout the event. Coming home fifth was Ryan Broughton.

The front row was not necessarily the place to start a race at the 17th Annual
Fred Dillow Memorial
PORTSMOUTH, Ohio – The front row was not necessarily the place to start a race at the 17th Annual
Fred Dillow Memorial  Saturday, Aug. 15, at Portsmouth Raceway Park.
For over half the late model feature, a front row start paid off for Zach Dohm. Driving his father’s car,
which won the Pepsi 75 two weeks earlier, Dohm led the first 16 laps.
While Dohm was leading, Eddie Carrier Jr, who started seventh, was working his way to the front, He
finally took the lead on lap 17 and went on to the victory with Dohm second and Jackie Boggs third.
The race featured a spectacular accident with John Melvin barrel-rolling his car into the first turn. He
was okay and drove in the limited late model feature.
Eight late models returned to the track for a 15-lap, winner take all shootout.
Boggs started on the front and ran away from the pack. By the midway point, Boggs had a
straightaway led and continued to extend the advantage to claim the $1,500 prize.
The other drivers receive a case of Valvoline oil each.
In the modified division, Greg Thompson won his first PRP feature.
Thompson started 16th and soon went to the top of the track. For the first half of the race, he was
running the top by himself and was knifing through the field.
While Thompson was charging to the front Tony DeHart and Adam Jordan were battling for the top
spot. For three laps, the lead was less than a car length. Jordan got around DeHart on lap 11, but the
caution flag flew before the lap was complete and DeHart was back in front.
On lap 13, Jordan was briefly saved by a caution, which put him back in front of Thompson.
By the end of lap 14, Thompson was in front to stay.
DeHart held on for second, while Doug Adkins moved in to third.
After being forced to the pits in his heat, John Melvin started at the rear in the limited late model
feature. He stormed through the field to take second at the midway point.
However, Jeff Stevens would not give up the lead. Even a caution with one lap left could not stop
Stevens.
Last week a flat tire with less than three laps to go cost Justin Jaynes his first bomber feature win at
PRP.
Saturday, two flat tires with two laps left gave Jaynes the elusive first win.
Jeremie Bretz and Joe McGinnis were battling for the win. They went under the flagstand side-by-side
to end lap 10 and they made contact.
The result was a flat tire on each car.
Jaynes dove under the crippled leaders coming out of turn two and led Shane Pendleton and Darren
Pendleton to the finish line.
Saturday is Fan Appreciation Night at PRP. Admission is $5.

Add that to the $3,000 to win purse and the 8-foot tall Southern Trophy there was much on the line in the 50 lap event. With 39 cars checked in things got underway with 1 lap of qualifications. Setting fast time in his first visit to MRP was the “Rattler” Justin Ratliff at a lap of 14.007. The top six qualifiers were locked in and set the stage for the fast car dash which allowed sixth fast qualifier Audie McWilliams taking the win and earning the pole position for the feature event. In heat race action it was the top three in each heat earning their way into the A-main. Taking the heat wins were Aaron Ridley, Steve Barnett, Chad Stapleton, and John Whitney Jr. The 21 car B-main event would decide two more starters with Lexington, Ky’s Bobby Walter’s winning with Robby Hensley take the final transfer with a last lap pass. In the feature event it was Audie McWilliams and Scott James on the front row and at the drop of the green flag it was Scott James out front but the man on the move was 4th starting Mike Marler and 14th starting Wayne Chinn. By lap 21 it was Marler taking the top spot with and setting a torrid pace. The first caution came out on lap 41 but on the restart Marler driving one of the 525 all aluminum engines taking off from the field and leading the final 9 laps to take the $3,000 and the 8 ft. famed Southern Trophy. At the finish it was Mike Marler from Winfield, Tn. Taking the win with Scott James, Greg Johnson, Justin Ratliff, and Wayne Chinn rounding out the top five.

In the Cheapbowlingballs.com Modifieds it was Dave McWilliams looking for win number three in a row as the night started and following his heat #1 win it looked like he was going to be hard to beat. Winning heat #2 was newcomer David Spille with Doug Adkins taking the third heat race win. In the feature it was Spille and McWilliams up front but numerous cautions for spins slowed the early going but once things got underway it was McWilliams in his Bob Pierce Race Cars, Valvoline sponsored machine taking the win. Following McWilliams was Spille, Adkins, Randy Wash, and Rick Curtain rounding out the top five.

In the US Race Gear Street Stocks it was Jamey Adams and Jeremie Bretz winning heat races setting the stage for the 15 lap feature event. At the green flag it was Adams in the lead with Bretz right on his tail throughout the entire feature. Coming for the checker flag Bretz spun around off of turn four allowing Adams to easily take the win. John Baker came home second with Bretz driving backwards to cross the line in third spot with Mark Kaetzel and Bill Crabtree rounding out the top five.

The “Showstopper” derails the “Salt Rock Express” in the Pepsi 75 at Portsmouth Raceway Park

By Kyle Wainscott

Portsmouth Ohio 8/1/09- Cross Lanes West Virginia’s Tim Dohm better known as the “Showstopper” picked up a cool $10,000 in the Mid-Atlantic Championship Series Late Model event Saturday night at Portsmouth Raceway Park. The night started off with West Portsmouth Ohio’s Ben Adkins setting fast time and winning Bozo Bragdon’s “Just Give me one lap” $1,077 prize for being the nights fast qualifier.

In heat number one Jared Hawkins looked like the man to beat.

Photo: Cross Lanes West Virginia's Tim Dohm stands in Victory Lane after a wild finish to the MACS event Saturday night at Portsmouth Raceway Park.
Off the final corner Hawkins would slow to avoid the spinning Jerry Mustain which allowed Boggs to make the pass and get the win. Hawkins would finish second, with Jason Montgomery in third. Heat number two it was Steve Shaver with the win, the "Salt Rock Express" Eddie Carrier Jr. in second and Matt Lux third. In heat three Zanesville Ohio’s Bart Hartman would cruise to the win as Tim Dohm made the pass on Doug Drown to finish second.

The first B-Main saw fast qualifier Ben Adkins check out on the field with Paul Davis, and David Smith rounding out the top three.. B-Main number two it was Chris Wilson with a last lap pass on last years MACS runner up Doug Horton to get the victory. Horton would come home second with Nick Bocook in third.

The field was now set for the Pepsi seventy-five lap A-Main. R.J. Conley would have the pole by virtue of the redraw, with 2007 MACS Rookie of the Year Matt Lux on the outside. Row two it was Audie Swartz and Jared Hawkins. In row three it was a pair of Ohio drivers with Doug Drown and Bart Hartman. Defending PRP Track Champion Jackie Boggs and Bethel Ohio’s Rick Combs would make up row four. In row five it was West Virginia’s Steve Shaver and Eddie Carrier Jr. Row six was made up of Tim Dohm and Jason Montgomery. The green flag would wave with R..J. Conley jumping out into the early lead with Lux in second. By lap three two different cautions would slow the field, the first by Ben Adkins and the second for a spinning Rick Combs. On the restart it was Conley with the lead Hawkins riding the high line in second and Lux in third. Four green flag laps would be ran as Hartman and Dohm would begin their march to the front. Caution would again slow the race this time it was Josh Bocook with his Bocook’s Garage entry. On lap nine Hartman would make the pass on Lux to take over the third spot. Nick Bocook would bring out a caution on lap seventeen. Action would heat up on the restart as Hartman would take the lead away from Conley in turn four with Tim Dohm now up to third. Dohm was still on the move on lap twenty-six as he would make quick work of R.J. Conley taking second away.

At the halfway point Hartman was still in control with Dohm, Conley, Steve Shaver, Hawkins, Carrier, and nineteenth starting Doug Horton. Fairmont West Virginia’s Jared Hawkins high side performance would come to an end on lap forty-four with over heating problems. With just twenty laps to go Hartman’s quest for a win would come to an end as his car slowed to a stop in turn four. Dohm would inherit the lead with Conley, Shaver, Carrier, and Horton fifth. Two laps later Carrier continued his pursuit toward the front as he worked his way around Shaver and Conley to take over the second spot, as Horton moved up to fourth. With just five laps remaining and lapped traffic in sight, Carrier was knocking on the door. With one lap to go Dohm and Carrier were working through lapped traffic in turn three. As they went into the final turn the two made contact sending Carrier in the turn four wall. Dohm made it through and collected the win in the T&R Logging, Southern Ohio Wood, Vic Hill Racing Engines, Seymour Motorsports #17T. R.J. Conley crossed in second, with Steve Shaver third, Doug Horton fourth, and John Mason rounding out the top five.

SHEPPARD WINS OUTLAW SPRINT NIGHT AT MRP!!

By: Kyle Wainscott

Williamsburg, OH (C103)-- On a night designed to honor the late William Hesson, an Ohio Department of Youth Corrections Officer who was killed in late April, everyone came through by donating $1300 to help his family and were given in return a great night of racing action along with an awesome fireworks show provided by Phantom Fireworks. With the Engine Pro/NRA Sprint Invader 360 Sprint Cars making their first ever appearance at Moler Raceway Park, it was a fast and furious night. Two heat races would set the starting order and defending NRA champion JR Stewart and Warsaw, Indiana’s Neil Sheppard took heat race wins and at the inversion draw pulled a straight up starting line-up meaning they would be the front row cars that would bring the 15 car field to the green flag. At the drop of the green it was Stewart with the lead but Sheppard was right beside him on the bottom. By Lap 7 it was Sheppard taking the lead and control of the event. Although there was tight racing throughout the race they ran all 30 laps without a caution with Sheppard taking his first ever A-main event in a Sprint Car. Stewart came home second followed by Ron Blair, Luke Hall, and Tim Hunter rounding out the top five.

July 10th was also DARF Night at MRP and Dayton Auto Racing Fan Club members got in free for a great night of racing. Everyone at Moler Raceway Park would like to thank DARF for helping out one of their own in his time of need. Bill Glass, a member of MRP’s great safety crew was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident which put him in the hospital in critical condition and unfortunately resulted in the death of his granddaughter, Makala Little, Age 11. DARF has an injured drivers fund to help racers and everyone associated with our great sport and they very generously donated to the family of Bill Glass to help them in their time of need. Our thanks goes out to DARF and our thoughts and prayers are with him and his entire family. Donations may be given at any Fifth Third Bank in Makala’s name.

In the Sunesis Construction late models there were 29 cars on hand and it would take 3 heats and a B-main to set the field. Jason Montgomery started last but won heat race number one with Dillan White, a rookie in the late model division taking the win in heat two and Larry Pickelheimer Jr winning heat number. Chris Shannon was victorious in the B-Main event. At the start of the feature event it was Pickelheimer jumping out to the lead with White in second and Montgomery in third. By Lap 6 is was Montgomery the leader with Pickelheimer back to second but the race to watch was 11th starting Barry Doss working his way through the pack. The race looked like it was going to go caution free until lap 21 when Arnie Fields made contact with Chad Stapleton and spun to the infield. That bunched the field up as Barry Doss was up to third spot and John Whitney in fourth for the restart. At the green it was Jason Montgomery coming home with the feature win, with Barry Doss making a run of it but coming up short to finish in second spot. Pickelheimer came home third with John Whitney in fourth and Bill Williams just nipping Dillan White to take home the fifth spot.

In the final tune-up before the July 17th Battle of the Bluegrass modified event there were some newcomers showing up hoping to take home some extra money and the all important UMP points. In heat race action two of the three races were won by newcomers as Todd Sherman (heat #1) and Jeff Babcock (heat #3) took wins with Rick Curtain winning heat race number #2. In B-main action it was Steve Duty taking the win in his first visit to MRP. In the feature it was Curtain leading lap number 1 but a spin in turn #2 caused Curtain to restart from the tail of the field (he would eventually charge to 8th spot). From there on it was Jeff Babcock in his US Muffler & Brake, Craig Miller Trucking sponsored machine taking his first win at MRP with Dave McWilliams right on his bumper throughout the entire event. Doug Adkins came home third with Todd Sherman, and Jeremie Bretz rounding out the top five.

In the Holman Motors Chevette division it was another full field of cars as 30 drivers signed in to take part in the weeks racing action. In heat race action it was Kevin Riggs winning heat race #1 with first time winners Jason Hoskins and Les Romano winning heats #2 & #3. In the B-main event it was Josh Francis taking the win. As the feature event lined up the action began as Francis broke an axle and lost a wheel while the cars rolled around under caution. As the green flag flew it was two and three wide racing throughout the field. Up front it was Troy Stamper taking the lead on lap three and he would never give it up. Jeff Watson eventually made a charge and eventually got up next to Stamper on the white flag lap but to no avail as Stamper would hold on to take his first win of the season in his first visit to MRP this year. With Watson taking second, in third was Paul Luers with Miles Tarvin and Derrick Davis (just inching out Eric Weaver) rounding out the top five.

In the US Race Gear street stocks it was much the same story as previous weeks as Jeremie Bretz would be the man to beat. Starting outside row number one (courtesy of heat race #2 victory) the Maysville, Kentucky racer would jump to the lead and never look back as he remained undefeated on the season. Coming home second would be Craig Naylor, who earlier won his first ever street stock heat race, with Paul Baker third followed by birthday boy Mark Kaetzel (who started on the tail) and Todd Anstaett rounding out the top five. July is power-packed at MRP with the 17th being the Battle of the Bluegrass Modifieds $1500 to Win, the 24th being Topless Night, Late Models $1500 to Win, and the Street Stock Special on the 31st paying $600 to Win.

Great racing action on a hot summer night at Moler Raceway Park

By: Kyle Wainscott

Williamsburg, OH -Great racing action on a hot summer night at Moler Raceway Park began with the Sunoco American Late Model Series coming to town with 34 late models on hand. Winning heat races were Brian Ruhlman, Jesse Lay, and Tim Prince. In the B-main event there were 19 cars taking the green battling for the final 5 starting spots with 2nd Place ALMS points runner KY Harper taking the win followed by 14th starting Jason Jamison, a heavy smoking Jason Montgomery, Larry Pickelheier Jr, and Bill Williams. In the feature it was Ruhlman and Lay on the front row but at the green the guy on the move was Jon Henry who jumped from 7th to 3rd on the first lap. Ruhlman led the first three laps but Jerry Bowersock showed that he was going to be the man to beat. Bowersock and his St Henry Nite Club sponsored MGD 64 machine led the final 37 laps en route to his first feature win at MRP. The race was slowed with four minor cautions the last causing a green-white-checker finish but no one had anything for Bowersock. Coming home second was last year’s UMP point champion Rusty Schlenk followed by Hazard, Ky’s Eric Wells, Ruhlman, and Shawn Negangard.

In the Cheapbowlingballs.com modified division it was Brian Ruhlman and Doug Adkins winning heat races and setting the front row of the A-Main event. At the green flag a rollover by Randy King brought the action to a stop but he was OK. On the restart it was Brian Ruhlman out front and Dave McWilliams running second. The race stayed that way throughout with the green flag staying out until lap 18 when Andy Bowman spun out in turn two. On the restart it was all Ruhlman as he took home his first feature win at MRP in fine fashion. McWilliams hung on for second with Rick Curtain, Shane Mugavin, and a hard charging Ray Branscum rounding out the top five.

The question in the US Race Gear Street Stocks was whether or not someone would beat Jeremie Bretz for the first time this season. After drawing a low pill number and starting on the tail of his heat it looked like he was going to have his hands full. Winning the heat was John Baker. At the green it was Baker and newcomer Shane Pendleton running side by side but one slip allowed Bretz to get by Pendleton on lap four and then Baker on lap eight. It was smooth sailing from there as Bretz took home the checker and remained undefeated in Street stock action. Baker came home second with Pendleton, Tuggle and Paul Baker rounding out the top five.

Another full field of Holman Motor Chevettes were on hand and to start things off Jeff Watson, Chris Vance, and Kevin Riggs took home heat race victories setting the line-up for the feature. With Holman Motors once again adding $300,$200, and $100 to the posted purse it was destined to be another dogfight for the victory. At the green it was Jeff Watson jumping to the lead with Vance in tow. A lap four restart saw Vance jump Watson only to be penalized two spots on the next caution. Vance was able to regain the second spot before having problems later in the race. Watson was able to hold on the entire race and take home his second victory of the season and the additional $300. Mustain Muffler Blowout At PRP
PORTSMOUTH, Ohio – Jackie Boggs had the field covered Saturday at the Mustain
Muffler Blowout at Portsmouth Raceway Park.
The Grayson, Ky., driver led flag-to-flag. Although R.J. Conley of Wheelersburg
challenged Boggs on restarts, the defending late model track champion was able to
maintain a lead of almost a straight away over most of the second half of the race.
A spectacular accident took Josh Bocook, Audie Swartz and David Smith out of the race.
Four cars piled together coming out of turn four on a restart to begin lap 5. Bocook’s
car got the worst of the accident. The car went airbourn, hit the retaining fence and did
a flip in the air before landing on its wheels.
Brett Kennard, the fourth driver in the accident, was able to continue for a few laps
before retiring to the pits.
Doug Adkins of West Portsmouth remained the only modified feature winner.
Adkins also grabbed the lead early and did ot give it back, even though Adam Jordan
was able to get a fender under him briefly.
Defending limited late model champion John Melvin came up short on his bid for a third
straight win. Melvin was well on his way to a win until something happened to his
steeering and needed hekp to get off the track.
Adam Colley inherited the lead and held Evyian Terry at bay to win his first limited late
A-main..
Former bomber champion Jeremie Bretz turned back the challenge of Justin Jaynes to
win the bomber feature. The win was the third straight for Bretz. second was the best
finish for the 19-year-old Jaynes at PRP.

Eddie Carrier Jr. takes home $3,000 after winning the Stars and Stripes 35 at Portsmouth Raceway Park

By: Kyle Wainscott

Portsmouth OH- A few rain showers in the area did not stop Portsmouth Raceway Park's season opener Sunday night. Eddie Carrier Jr. proved he was the best out of the thirty-seven Late Models that were on hand at PRP. Carrier held off defending PRP track champion Jackie Boggs in the thirty-five lap feature event.

The win was Carriers third of the Memorial Day weekend. Doug Adkins went flag to flag picking up the Modified feature win. With about five laps to go something broke in the rear-end of Adkins car but was able to hold on for the victory. In Limited Late Model action John Melvin picked up another win as he did double duty also running in the Late Model division.

A last lap pass off of turn four gave the Bomber win to Maysville Kentucky's Jeremie Bretz. Bretz went underneath of race leader Shane Pendleton who led every lap except the last one.
